Jiangsu University achieved outstanding results in the 6th China University Intelligent Robot Innovation Competition

The finals of the 6th China University Intelligent Robot Innovation Competition was successfully held in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province from August 24th to 25th. This competition has been included in the national A-level competition for college students in ordinary universities in 2020. The competition was sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the China University Intelligent Robot Innovation Competition and organized by the government of Yuyao, Zhejiang Province and the Robot Research Institute of Zhejiang University. With the theme of "Better, Faster, Stronger", this competition was divided into three themes: creative, competitive and fighting category, as well as three special competitions: Tetris robots, quadruped robots and VEXU robots. A total of 5325 teams from 501 universities in 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) participated in this competition, with 24,168 people participating. Compared to last year, the number of participating universities, teams, and personnel increased by 17.61%, 35.81% and 64.12%, respectively. After being filtered out through school and provincial competitions layer by layer, 994 teams successfully advanced to the national finals.

            

With the support and care of leaders at all levels of the school and college, the participating teams of Jiangsu University demonstrated outstanding performance in the finals. They won 6 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 2 third prizes in the national competition, not only winning honors for the school, but also demonstrating the strong strength of Jiangsu University in the field of intelligent robots. The competition cultivated the skills of students in robot design and manufacturing, programming and control, and honed their abilities in teamwork, innovative thinking and solving practical engineering problems, which is beneficial for students to better develop their career paths and helps to inject fresh blood into the future development of intelligent robots.

            

The China University Intelligent Robot Innovation Competition is characterized and focused on cultivating the creativity of students. By building a platform for exhibition, communication and promotion, it has promoted the "four-chain integration" of the robot field, including education chain, talent chain, innovation chain, and industry chain.
