The robomaster competition ended in mid August 2020. It was jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Shenzhen Municipal People's government, and initiated and hosted by DJI Dajiang innovation. More than 300 universities at home and abroad have signed up for the competition this season. In view of the domestic epidemic situation, in order to ensure the personal safety of the students participating in the national competition and reduce the regional epidemic risk, and in coordination with the epidemic prevention measures of colleges and universities in the autumn semester, the Organizing Committee of the event decided to cancel the offline arrangement of the 2020 season and add an online defense and evaluation link, and take the online evaluation results as the final award result of this season. Finally 170 universities overcame many difficulties and participated in this special "competition". They showed not only the research results of robots, but also the ultimate engineer spirit. Under the guidance of 7 teachers including Chen Hansong of industrial center, the "Five pins team" of Jiangsu University composed of nearly 35 students won the third prize of online evaluation, the third prize of embedded group, the third prize of algorithm group and the third prize of operation group in robomaster 2020 season!

Robomaster competition is a global machine armour competition, which is also the largest domestic undergraduate robot science and innovation competition. It has been incorporated into the national university competition evaluation system by the China Association of higher education. It is also one of the national class "A" events recognized by our university. Robomaster competition aims to create a platform for young engineers to practice and exchange.

The competition gives the team full research and design independence and autonomy within the scope of the rules, comprehensively covers a wide range of knowledge fields such as mechanical structure, electronic control design, visual algorithm recognition, publicity and operation module and AI intelligence, and makes all sections complement each other, and encourages team members to diversify and cultivate comprehensive literacy, that is, they are not rigidly bound, dare to break through and seek innovation at the level of technical core knowledge.

Jiangsu University's "five pins team" was established in October 2019. The team has recruited members majoring in mechanical, computer, electrical, vehicle and other professions. As a rising new team, they spent many nights to debug robots. It was the first time they participated the competition, they faced with a series of practical problems such as venues, equipment, funds, promotion and so on, but it is a team formed by love and perseverance. We wish Five Pines team can create another good performance the 2021 Season!
