The Industrial Center aims to cultivate research-oriented, compound and applied talents, takes improving students' engineering practice ability and comprehensive engineering quality as the main line. It integrates the contents of experiment, practice and training according to the cognitive law from the shallow to the deep, and integrates the theoretical and practical teaching system vertically and horizontally. As a result, experiments, practice, design and other links are organically throughout the process of engineering education during the whole university stage, so that students' learning, practical and innovation ability as well as engineering application ability can be cultivated and improved in a planned, hierarchical and phased way. The project training platform with students as the main body has been established, which has the characteristic of comprehensive (market, environment, system, management, quality, efficiency), compound (design, manufacturing, control, management), open (facing the whole society and the whole process of student training). the platform aims for providing services for teaching, scientific research, achievement incubation, talent training and lifelong education, as shown in the figure.The Industrial Center changes the discrete cognitive experiment, practice and independent practice links into the comprehensive training integrating knowledge, ability and engineering quality, and changes the simple technical training into the systematic training integrating modern management, humanistic quality and advanced technology. Through systematic and integrated engineering training, students' cognitive level and problem-solving ability of multidisciplinary knowledge integration are cultivated. Combining compulsory, elective, in class and extra-curricular training projects, students are encouraged to freely combine, develop and innovate independently across grades and majors, so as to provide more space for independent thinking and personality development, in this way, students can experience the innovation process, obtain the fun of innovation, stimulate innovation enthusiasm and cultivate innovation consciousness. The Industrial Center creates a new talent training mode of "vertical and top" and "horizontal reaching the edge". The so-called "vertical and top" refers to gradually entering the academic frontier of the field from the aspect of professional skills training; the so-called "horizontal reaching the edge" means that in the talent training, the integration and penetration of knowledge of various disciplines, as well as the intersection and penetration of disciplines and specialties, make the trainees become compound, innovative and entrepreneurial talents.
